The roses are blooming much earlier this year. We will open the gardens when we hit full bloom even if we are not quite done weeding or working on the infrastructure. Stay tuned here as we update information.
May 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to ?. We will collect and package cuttings selected for the New England Rose Society. We have runners of Paul’s Himalayan Musk, Cantabrigiensis, and possibly more for interested volunteers. You will also be able to take cuttings of your other favorite heirloom roses.

July 1 – 12, 2025 (or somewhere near those dates): The Kiftsgate and Sir Cedric Morris and Pleine de Grace should be in full bloom. As we get closer to bloom time, we will confirm the date(s) and offer more information. As we all know, nature follows its own timeline. We will open the gardens but if you are interested in using the view for pictures (wedding, Senior pictures, or other) we can make special arrangements.

Anne’s Celebration of Life
(the following announcement was archived on Jan. 1, 2023. To see the video of the memorial, go to Anne Belovich’s Facebook page for June 19th, 2022. There are two sections as a result of the camera falling. The section that is missing is the wonderful reading by David E. Perry taken from a chapter of his book, The 50 Mile Bouquet: Seasonal, Local and Sustainable Flowers (Prinzing and Perry, 2012). Rick and I feel he captured Anne’s spirit and her gardens perfectly with his prose. In addition to the FB video of Anne’s Celebration of Life, Blue Chalk Production shot some amazing video and pictures some of which will be shown in season 2 of Growing Floret to air this spring. For more information, follow Floret Flowers on their blog, Instagram, and Facebook platforms.)
Anne’s family would like to invite her friends to join us in an informal uplifting celebration of her life to be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM (Pacific Time) at her home and gardens.
We will each share our special memories of our time with Anne. If you are unable to be with us in person, you can still contribute by sending your message to teddie.mower@gmail.com. Friends or family will read your messages at the Celebration.

We will also have Facebook Live and Zoom options. Facebook Live will be through Anne’s Facebook account. The Zoom option will require sending an email to teddie.mower@gmail.com for the link, to make the link more secure.
If you plan to attend in person, please RSVP via teddie.mower@gmail.com so that we have an approximation of how many people to expect. We ask that you bring your own seating (lawn chair or other) if possible.
Following the sharing of stories, people will be invited to take a walk through designated areas of the gardens. The Pacific Northwest weather wasn’t kind to the roses this past winter, but hopefully they will put on a show that weekend.
